Celebrating Our Nation's Independence
This weekend we will be celebrating our nation’s independence. Join us and the rest of the community at City Hall Park on Saturday, July 3rd for the Annual Country Fair! Patriotic festivities begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue until 3:00 p.m. They include live entertainment, recreational swimming, a kiddie parade, a dog parade, a classic car show, food, games, exhibits, and a Market Place area featuring handmade gifts. Walk-up COVID-19 vaccines will also be available.
>> Click here to see the Fair’s entertainment schedule.
However you choose to celebrate, please keep in mind the safety of our community when it comes to the use of illegal fireworks. They are dangerous and can be harmful to you, your property, and your pets. Additionally, fireworks pose a serious fire hazard, especially in Brea with our open space and wildlands. Sparks from fireworks can travel to nearby homes or brush and ignite a fire. Moreover, the sale, use, or discharge of all fireworks are strictly prohibited in Brea, even the “safe and sane” variety sold in other cities. If you are able to identify the exact location of someone using fireworks in our City, please report it by calling the Brea Police Department’s non-emergency line at 714-990-7911. Violators face a fine of up to $1,000.
