On February 23, 1917, our founding families incorporated a small wildcatting oil town and put the City of Brea on the map. Since then, Brea has grown into a vibrant business, recreation and cultural center boasting housing and services for a diverse community. Now it’s time to celebrate the 100-year journey that created one of Orange County’s premier cities!
The Brea Centennial Steering committee of approximately 15, will consist of representatives from the Historical Society, service clubs, the Chamber of Commerce, the Ministerial Association, youth groups, the School District, the Senior Leadership Council, former City Council Members and several Community-Members at Large.
The committee will be a working group of Brea residents, with a can-do spirit with experience in promotion, fundraising, event planning or knowledge of Brea’s history.
