Update 4:35 pm: State Route 142 (Carbon Canyon) is still closed from Old Carbon Canyon Rd to Chino Hills Pkwy due to gas-line damage for an unknown duration. Current access to Carbon Canyon is for residents only. Chino Hills residents of Summit Ranch are allowed access from Brea to Feldspar Road. No other commuter access is allowed at this time. Caltrans construction staff are working in conjunction with SoCal Gas and emergency responders to mitigate the gas leak.
